2010-2011 School Year – Information
Class Lists
At the end of every school year we begin the process of creating class lists for the next school year. There are many factors to consider when making these educational decisions. We look at a number of different educational needs (Social/Emotional needs, ELL, Sped, and many others) for all students to provide the best possible placement for each child.
Every year we have a large number of placement requests from parents. Due to the large number of requests it is not always possible to honor all requests. We will look at all factors to determine the best placement. All requests need to be in writing and submitted to the building principal. Please include any academic information (learning styles, personality traits, peer relationships, etc) that will help us make a placement decisions. Class lists will be posted on the front doors of Hamlow Elementary on Friday, August 6.
Meet Your Teacher Night
Meet Your Teacher Night will be held Thursday, August 12 from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM at Hamlow Elementary. This is an opportunity for you and your child to meet their teacher for the upcoming school year. You can also sign up for Parent/Teacher Conferences in the media center. Hope to see you there!
